Scarlett e Natalie, le sorelle Bolena

Arriva il primo filmone storico della stagione, The other Boleyn girl, tratto dal bestseller di Philippa Gregory sull'odissea delle sorelle Anna e Maria Bolena (interpretate rispettivamente da Natalie Portman e Scarlett Johansson), sugli intrighi di palazzo da loro imbastiti e sul loro rapporto con il re d'Inghilterra Enrico VIII (Eric Bana) intorno al 1530. Come il romanzo, il film è ispirato a fatti storici ma ricorre a numerose licenze poetiche nella ricostruzione del rapporto tra le due celebri sorelle, che si lasciano alle spalle la loro vita campestre per "entrare a corte" in obbedienza alle sfrenate ambizioni del padre e dello zio, per poi conquistare e contendersi favori e affetto del re sposato in prime nozze con Caterina d'Aragona. Con conseguenze disastrose.
